House

I bought my house about 10 years ago as a temporary living place and future rental/investment property. It has become very much my Home (with a capital H!). While it has its problems (especially relating to terrible environmental design/efficiency) it is otherwise well laid out and eminently liveable. The location is also amazing, something I’ve come to appreciate even more now that I’ve met the community from my local dog park (thanks Merlin!) I’ve made gradual changes (let’s call them ‘improvements’, though not everyone would agree with me!) so it is now very ‘me’. That said, there are still a lot of things that need to be done, including a couple that have been on my list since just after I moved in (I’m looking at you: front fence and bathroom!!). Now that I have some keen friends to help with inspiration and motivation, they might finally get done. These pages are to share information and ideas I have.

The dining room (with new tiles and my beautiful crockery from Edinbane Pottery on the Isle of Skye). Those curtains DEFINITELY need to go!!

Aaaaannnnnndddd . . . I’ve finally got new curtains! And new wall colour!

I just didn’t want to over-use you for slave labour! Maybe we can pick some fabric next weekend then. This photo just reminds me how much I love everything else and don’t like them!
